Welcome to the official website of the VTE Masterclass meeting, to be held at the Barceló Hotel, Malaga, Spain, 18th – 19th June 2010.

Join experts and colleagues from across Europe for two days of education and debate on the latest evidence and strategies for the prevention and treatment of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE).

The meeting is being organised under the auspices of The Coalition to Prevent VTE and will be chaired by Dr Ander Cohen, chairman of The Coalition.

Due to other commitments Professor Lord Kakkar is unable to attend the VTE Masterclass meeting. Dr Walter Ageno, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, University of Insubria, Italy will replace Professor Lord Kakkar in all of his sessions

The VTE Masterclass will address prevention and treatment in patient groups such as high-risk surgical, cancer, pregnancy, the renally-impaired, trauma surgery and the obese.

The most current evidence and guidelines will be presented, while workshop sessions will give you the chance to discuss and question experts on points of uncertainty.
